i know that we all come from the same place
a place full of love and free from suffering
and now we try to live every day in this illusion
confused and scared, excited and loud
hungry for money and starving for attention
we're cold and bruised, and unsure of tomorrow
clinging so tight to that ego that keeps us warm
snuggled in self doubt
wrapped in jealousy
and buried two feet under dirt
if only we could think with our hearts
our bodies calm with a peaceful mind
and breathe easy with hope
exhale enlightenment
we all come from that place full of love and free from suffering
now let's try to get closer to home...
